Important Changes Coming

On March 22, 2024, all rental assistance providers funded by the City of Columbus temporarily stopped accepting new applications to allow administrators to process outstanding requests for aid and calculate how much funding remains. During this time, other nonprofits that are still accepting applications will continue to be displayed on Rentful’s Find Help page. As always, this list is updated daily to reflect changes in the provider landscape.

On April 1, 2024, the City of Columbus will open a new program to connect residents with “Housing Resource Specialists” who provide housing problem-solving support. Participants in this program may be eligible for Emergency Rental Assistance only if they are vulnerable to literal homelessness, a more narrow eligibility criteria than previously necessary. Not all residents who are facing an imminent eviction will qualify for rental assistance.

Additional information regarding these changes and how to access remaining eviction prevention supports will be provided on Rentful614 shortly.
