Housing Resource Specialists are expert problem-solvers. They can help you navigate through confusing programs and eligibility criteria. Help diffuse tense housing conflicts and find solutions that work for everyone. Provide rapid referrals to calm emergency situations. And, for those who are at extremely high risk of homelessness, connect with financial tools to stay home safely.

This free service is available to anyone in Franklin County who is worried about homelessness, including people who are facing an eviction or temporarily staying with friends and family.

Many of the Housing Resource Specialists are specially trained to provide culturally competent services to seniors, young people, victims of violence, and more. Some providers even specialize in serving specific neighborhoods, like Columbus’ South Side or Clintonville. All providers offer translation services for those who are not native English speakers.
