Resilient Housing Initiative

About: The Resilient Housing Initiative (aka the “RHI”) is designed to prevent homelessness and promote housing stability for extremely low-income Columbus residents facing homelessness. It is not for everyone. This program may be right for you if you have nowhere to go if you lose your current housing.

How it works: If you have no where safe to stay when you lose your housing, call the RHI Screening Line. The operators will screen you for eligibility for the program. The line is only open from 9:00 am - 10:00 am.

If you are eligible: a Housing Resource Specialist will contact you to help create a plan that can resolve the housing problems you’re facing. The Specialist will also identify resources that can help you avoid entering a homeless shelter. Not all participants will receive financial assistance.

Unfortunately, the need often exceeds the program’s capacity. When this occurs, the hotline will be temporarily frozen. Please view the Resilient Housing Initiative section on Rentful614 to see if the hotline is currently “open” or “frozen”.
